The JR Community Care Fund was established by a group of employees in 1997. Known then as the Christmas Fund, it started out as a way to support fellow employees experiencing hardship. As time went on, the Christmas Fund committee saw the fund as an opportunity to give back and support local non-profit organizations.
Fast forward to 2010. JR had hundreds more employees, with many looking to become involved and seeking new ways to give back. The Christmas Fund was renamed the JR Community Care Fund (JRCCF), to better represent the purpose and mission of the group: to give back directly to our community.
Since 2010, the JRCCF has continued to grow and expand, with funds impacting ten local non-profit organizations in 2015. The committee is now made up of over 20 individuals across all of JR's locations in Holland who work together, planning fundraising events for all employees and working to find ways for JR to reach even more members of our community.
