JR Automation Technologies sponsors the West Ottawa High School student F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Competition Team 141-WOBOT. JR mentors impart their knowledge of materials, electronics, and dealing with deadline pressures. In return, the students energize the mentors with their curiosity and competitive spirit.

Visits to the JR facility give this girls programming and robotic middle school camp the opportunity to see engineers in the field, to ask questions, and to get excited about a future in science and technology.

JR employees come together to support local charities of their choosing. It's an opportunity to show their gratitude to the community, to work together toward a common goal, to have fun, develop camaraderie, and help out worthy causes all at the same time.
