Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots is a non-profit organization that collects new, unwrapped toys and distributes those toys to less fortunate children during the holiday season. Four of our Holland facilities are Toys for Toys drop box locations this year and our employees are active in donating toys. This year, we raised an incredible $1055 and donated 125 toys, beating our 2014 record!

JR Community Care Fund

The JR Community Care Fund, an employee-sponsored initiative, brings together JR employees to raise funds for local charities. Each year, the JRCCF holds a variety of fundraising events and at year's end, JR employees nominate and vote for charities to receive those funds. It's an opportunity to show our gratitude to the community, have fun, develop camaraderie, and help out worthy causes all at the same time. In 2015, we raised a record $84,447.88 to be distributed among ten charities.

JR Green Team

The JR Green Team is a group of employees dedicated to promoting and facilitating sustainable practices at JR through implementation, education, and exemplification. The JR Green Team began in 2015 with a few employees looking for ways to reduce waste by implementing multiple types of recycling around the offices and shop floors. Now, with more members than ever, the team continues to seek ways to help promote sustainable practices throughout the JR facilities, such as installing motion sensors on lights, encouraging reusable cups instead of disposable, and more. They're also dedicated to volunteering in cleanup efforts in our community, such as the Ottawa County Grand River Cleanup in May 2016.

Through the JR Green Team's efforts, JR Automation recently became a member of the West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum, which seeks to promote business practices that demonstrate environmental stewardship, economic vitality, and social responsibility.
