Software Engineer - PLC / ASP.NET / C / SQL

Job Description

Utilize a diverse programming knowledge to architect and develop software to interact with custom industrial automation machines.

 

Responsibilities

JR Automation is looking for programmers to join their Software Integration Team. The team's responsibility is to: bridge the communication and data gap between industrial automation machines and plant IT management systems (MES and ERP), create cutting-edge software to increase the adaptability and diversity of JR's machines and to grow in knowledge and application of technology.

  

New challenges are daily presented which requires a diverse knowledge in many different disciplines - requiring the team to be fast moving and continuously growing. Software tasks can go from networking infrastructure to database architecture, from camera interfaces and custom image processing algorithms to software prototypes with consumer electronics (ex. Google Glass, Microsoft Kinect), from cross-platform C++ software to ASP.NET MVC web apps, from math-intensive robot algorithms to GUI and UX design and from writing custom .NET code to integrating with off-the-shelf software solutions.

 

The Software Integration Team strives for excellence and takes tremendous pride in their work. Shipping and Receiving Team Member

This position requires a dedicated employee that is willing to work a 40-50 hour work week. Attendance, communication, customer service and attention to detail are all critical to this position.

Network Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join the Information Technology consulting team.  As a Network Administrator, you will work with a network administration team and utilize your skills and expertise to serve as an internal expert on key IT network related projects to ensure customer needs are met.

Our network team needs to understand customer needs and identify the best course of action and technology to take our company forward.  With 6 locations, we strive to lead the network technology curve with network design, virtual servers and SAN storage networks.  As an experienced Network Administrator you will have project ownership of key level projects, serve as a resource to our network team and to our technical support team.

Desired Skills and Experience

As an experienced Network Administrator you will have project ownership of key high level projects, serve as a resource to our network team and our technical support team, and work on virtual network and SAN storage solutions.  The ideal candidate will have 7 plus years of network administration and design experience working with complex multi-site location networks.  Proficiency with Routing, DNS, VLAN, Firewall Management and Activity Directory Domains is required.  Must have working knowledge of Windows Server 2008 and higher.  Knowledge of Help Desk Support and Imaging Software supporting 500+ end users is desired.  MCSE certification strongly preferred.

Robotic Service Engineer

We are seeking to grow our Robotic Service Engineer team.  Epoch Robotics, a division of JR Automation, is a valued partner providing robotic controls integration, robotic parts, 24/7 emergency service, preventive maintenance, and training for a broad range of industries.  Our Service Engineers are factory trained to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain FANUC and Panasonic robotic controllers, mechanical units, transfer devices, and peripheral equipment.  Our Fanuc Master Certified Engineers help our customers by reducing downtime, providing on-site evaluations and repairs with new, used, and refurbished parts.

 

As a Service Engineer with Epoch, you will be a trusted resource to our customers.  You will work with leading edge controls/robotic and manufacturing technology on processes, integration, and automation.  Our team members collaborate, communicate, find solutions, and work with customers to ensure they continue production and limit down time. We invest in our Service Engineers with training and certifications.  Our Master Certified Engineers are certified with FANUC and Miller Welding Automation robots.  Our Service Engineers travel up to 70% to provide our domestic customers with superior service; international travel may also be required. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required to accommodate customers' down time.

Custodial/Maintenance

We are looking for a dependable, self- motivated, and trustworthy team member to join our maintenance crew. This person will be responsible for supporting multiple Holland facilities with general upkeep, inventory control, and light maintenance including:

  • Assisting in development of work area and grounds
  • Inspecting, cleaning, and preventive maintenance work
  • Assisting as a material handler as needed
  • Maintaining records of maintenance areas
  • Working with part-time clean-up crew members
  • Assisting with and performing preventive maintenance on internal equipment

Weld Engineer

We are expanding our team of Weld Engineers! Responsibilities include:

  • Design/assist in design of weld fixtures
  • Establish weld process parameters for equipment
  • Coordinate or assist in weld fixture validation and finished part gauge verification
  • Design, implement and document control systems for various types of automated equipment
  • Conduct the electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with the appropriate build and electrical teams

Electrical Controls Technician - Entry Level - South Carolina

We are looking for skilled and inventive Electrical Controls Technicians to join our growing team in Pickens, SC! We offer a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled, and collaborative work environment. JR offers on the job training as well as the opportunity to enter into a 4 year apprenticeship program. Our electrical controls technicians are integral members of project teams, helping custom machinery come to life. Each project is new and different from the last, creating a variety in daily work that allows each of our controls technicians thrive.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational education in a related field

Candidates with experience in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuitry preferred.


Machine Builder - South Carolina

Our build team is looking for additional members in our Pickens, SC facility. Our build team builds world class automated machinery for a wide range of industries. We work with the newest technologies to invent and create, never building the same machine twice. Machine builder applicants should have a proven mechanical aptitude, ability to work in a collaborative environment, drive to succeed and learn, and experience with assembly and machinery.

JR machine builders read blueprints, fit together metal parts, install hydraulic and pneumatic pipe/tubing, operate lathes, mills, and hand tools and troubleshoot sophisticated automated systems.

Requirements:

  •  Experience with building machinery
  • Experience with shop equipment such as a lathe, mill, drill press, surface grinder and sander.
  • Ability to read prints
  • Open to travel
